It is known by reporter from Jingzhou Construction Committee that, Jingzhou accelerates to regulate black and odorous waters in urban area. It advances the construction of sewage collection pipelines and network engineering, conducts diversion of rain and sewage water, improves the waste water collection system, and performs the comprehensive treatment of water environment as per the annual urban construction planning of Jingzhou.

After screening, there are 7 black and odorous waters in the urban area of Jingzhou.They are Xigan Ditch, Chihu Ditch, Hucheng River, Jingsha River, InnerJingxiang River, Taishi Pool, and Fangjia Pool. At the early period, Jingzhou Construction Committee blocked off  95 illegal outlets in Hucheng River, Jingsha River, XiganDitch, and Inner Jingxiang River and reconstructed part confluence regulators of rain and sewage water. This year, it continued to screen the main waters inthe urban area and sealed nearly one hundred illegal outlets.

At the sametime, Jingzhou makes great efforts to solve the situation that sewage water flowed into natural water, and conduct the emergency engineering of water environment treatment and reconstruct the regulators along Hucheng River,Jingxiang River, and Xigan Ditch and wrong contact pipelines and network of rainand sewage water with an investment of around RMB 28 million. Its preliminary work is in progress and it plans to be constructed in August.

Jingzhoutakes strong measures to promote the “stink” treatment projects. Among them, the mud-cleaning engineering of the four subprojects of Hucheng River Renovation Project, which has been loaned from the World Bank,completed around 48% in the south section of Hucheng River. Besides, the construction drawing of the water treatment engineering of Taishi Pool Parkwhich is concerned by citizens has completed the design and now is submitting for cost approval or revision. It plans to be constructed at the end of August;the water environment treatment engineering of Fangjia Pool has been launched and applied for listing into the first batch of urban construction projects in2019, and it plans to be constructed early next year; and water environment comprehensive treatment project in urban area has been conducted. It plans to adopt PPP mode.With a planned investment of around RMB 5.67 billion, the feasibility studyreport now has been approved.
